The 9-day ‘Voter Awareness Campaign’ of CMS begins today
Lucknow, February 14 : City Montessori School's 9-day 'Voter Awareness Campaign' started today, with the objective of motivating the parents of 55,000 CMS students to cast their vote in the upcoming elections and fulfill their social and democratic responsibility towards the nation. CMS Chief Public Relations Officer, Shri Hari Om Sharma informed that assembly elections are due to be held in Lucknow on 23 February, so, as a part of its social responsibility, CMS is making an appeal to motivate maximum number of people to participate in this democratic process and is also making the young generation aware of the importance of voting through this 9-day voter awareness campaign. Under this campaign, parents of all the 55000 students of CMS will be motivated to vote by making them aware of the importance of voting through social mediums like WhatsApp, Facebook etc. In addition, students will be made aware of the importance of voting in the daily prayer assemblies in various campuses so that they can inspire their families, neighborhoods and the people of their localities to cast their vote.
CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi has appealed to the intelligentsia of the city to participate in the voting process and exercise their franchise for a robust democracy. Every citizen above the age of 18 years has the right to caste his/her vote. Dr Gandhi further said that CMS students and teachers have always played an active role and fulfilled their social responsibility in causes of public interest. This CMS initiative of 9-day voter awareness campaign is another step in that direction.
