Lucknow, 14 December : The four-day International Environment Olympiad (IEO-2023) organized by City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus II came to a grand closure this evening at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. On this occasion, the prize winning students were awarded and honoured with medals, shields and certificates. The Overall Championship of IEO-2023 was bagged by the students' team of Priceless Pearl Scholars Academy, Nasik, Maharashtra while the Runner-up trophy went to City International School, Manas City, Lucknow and Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, Kursi Road, Lucknow. It is worth mentioning here that IEO-2023 was organized by CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II from 11 to 14 December at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium in which students from Nepal, Russia, UAE, USA, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and various states of India participated.

               Earlier, the Chief Guest, Shri Prashant Kumar Singh, Deputy Director General, Unique Identification Authority of India, inaugurated the closing ceremony by lighting the lamp of learning. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, he said that the changing environment of the present age is a big challenge to the human race, therefore, it is imperative that youth and young generation become capable to face these environmental challenges. Convenor of IEO-2023 and Senior Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus, Ms Manjit Batra said that modern age life-style needs greater effort towards conservation of the environment and everyone has to contribute to it. This Olympiad will create consciousness among the masses, to work in this direction, she opined. Co-Convenor and Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II, Mrs Sangeeta Banerjee, expressed heartiest gratitude towards the participating students from India and abroad and their team leaders. The prize distribution cum closing ceremony of IEO-2023 was resplendent with scintillating educational-cultural items, highly appreciated by one and all.
