Second day of 3-day ISRO Space Exhibition
Lucknow, December 8: Ambition and enthusiasm soared high, reaching the peak limits as students, parents, and teachers filled the City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus, and the very Chandrayan-III seemed to land here at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Science Exhibition. No less than 10,000 students from across India and Thailand gathered here to quench their thirst for knowledge of rocket science and view the swift landing of Indian spacecraft Chandrayan III on the moon. Students from Assam, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, and other states and Thailand flocked here to meet the top scientists of the country and update themselves about the latest scientific techniques used in space research. Rocket launching of satellites and tracing the entire journey of Chandrayan to the moon are popular exhibits being viewed at the exhibition.
The second day of the Space Exhibition saw mounting enthusiasm among the youth for the mysteries of the universe. Thousands of students, teachers and parents observed space science and technology closely, including Remote Sensing and Communication Satellites, Navigation, Chandrayaan, Mars Orbiter Mission, Satellite Images and Applications, Models of Camera of Mars Mission, Scaled Models of Launch vehicles (PSLV and GSLV), Satellites (INSAT, IRS, Aryabhata, RISAT), etc. It was an enlightening experience for the parents and teachers as well as the budding scientists who knew about the fascinating world of stars and planets and their effects on the human race. Dr Partha Pradeep Adhikari, Principal of Pranavananda International School, Assam, said that the exhibition is self-motivating for the students of my school. Over 100 students of Delhi Public School, Indira Nagar Branch visited the exhibition. A maths teacher of the school, Mr Kuldeep Pandey, said that I observed that the management of CMS has put up the exhibition very systematically and gave a golden opportunity to our children to learn a lot. Janhvi Srivastava, a class VIII student of this school, shared her experience as I am interested in space science.
