Lucknow, December 3 : The four-day International Mathematics Olympiad 'Matheletics-2023' organized by City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus II concluded today at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. Participating students and prize-winners in various competitions from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and various states of India were honoured  and awarded shields, medals and certificates at the 'Closing-cum-Prize Distribution Ceremony' organized amidst the colourful educational-cultural programmes. Students of BCM Arya International school, Ludhiana, Punjab, displayed their supremacy by bagging the Overall Championship of Matheletics-2023 whereas Jaycees Public School, Rudrapur, Uttarakhand won the first runner-up trophy. It is worth mentioning here that around 500 students from India and abroad enthusiastically participated in various contests viz Number Ninza (Games), Mathdoku (Puzzle), Mathsketeers (Quiz), Confabulors (Debate) and Mathematicum Le Modele (Model Making) etc. This Mathematics Olympiad proved to be significant in enhancing the mental mathematics ability of the students and in developing the interest of students towards the mathematics which is considered difficult.

               CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi inaugurated the Prize Distribution cum Closing Ceremony of Matheletics-2023 by lighting the lamp of learning. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Dr Gandhi said that all the participating students are the winners because they have all learnt something new here. He further stated that CMS endeavours to implant the seeds of World Unity and inculcate scientific thinking in the youth and children. He expressed his profound happiness that the children gathered here are thinking in terms of the whole earth as one family. At the Prize Distribution and Closing Ceremony of Matheletics, students of CMS presented several colourful educational-cultural items in honour of the participating teams and their team leaders. Convener of Matheletics-2023 and Principal of CMS Rajajipuram Campus II, Mrs Anupama Checker expressed her heartfelt thanks to one and all.
