Bhajan Samraat Padmashri Anup Jalota and actors Darsheel Safari and Ali Haji add sparkle to the festival
Lucknow, April 18 : The fourth day of the 7-day International Children's Film Festival (ICFF-2024) being held at City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Auditorium, saw the presence of thousands of students from different schools glowing with joy and enthusiasm. The students were thrilled to see the best educational children's films from 91 countries at the Children's Film Festival. Earlier, the fourth day of the Children's Film Festival was formally inaugurated by the Senior Journalist, Mr Sudhir Mishra whereas the gracious presence of Bhajan Samraat Padma Shri Anup Jalota and actors Darsheel Safari and Ali Haji added sparkle to the festival and encouraged the young viewers. It is worth mentioning here that more than 500 educational children's films from 91 countries are being screened free of cost at this International Children's Film Festival being organised from 15 to 21 April 2024 at CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium.
On this occasion, the Chief Guest, Mr Sudhir Mishra in his address, said that the CMS Founder, Late Dr Jagdish Gandhi had laid the foundation of this Film Festival as an educational event to impart moral values and character development of children through the audio-visual medium of films and now it is the responsibility of the younger generation to become good world citizens and fulfil the dreams of the CMS Founder. Bhajan Samrat, Padmashri Shri Anup Jalota, while addressing the students said that good films with human values inculcate good values in children making them good human beings. He was hopeful that the films shown at the film festival will add a new dimension to education and lead to the formation of a New Bharat. The occasion was made memorable with the glittering presence of film actors Darsheel Safari and Ali Haji.
The fourth day's fest opened today with the Indian children's film 'My Superheroes' directed by Nitish Kumar. Apart from this, children enjoyed various educational children's films from India and abroad including Head in the Clouds, Small Fry, Sister, Sister Who Are You, Bapu- Ek Soch, Love Thy Neighbour, Mind Your Manners Rameez, The Colorless Birds, Elephant's New Bicycle, A Birthday Wish, Papa Delivers, Love Isn't Enough, Anokha Pitara, The night is young, Looking For Santa etc. Films of various languages are being screened with English and Hindi subtitles to make them understood. Today in the Children's Film Festival, nearly ten thousand students from around 50 schools viz Lalbagh Girls Inter College, A.P. Sen Memorial Girls Inter College, B.S.N.V. Inter College, Army Public School, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Police Modern School, Rohini Girls High School, L.B.S. Memorial School took inspiration from the children's educational films.
